Notice of Filing of Annexation Petition with Oak City Town
A petition has been filed with Oak City Town proposing the annexation of a new area to Oak City Town. The Town Council received official notice of the certification of the annexation petition on October 2, 2020. The area includes the Oak City Cemetery and property South of the Cemetery.
The area proposed for annexation is more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING AT A POINT SOUTH 89°13’14” EAST 297.00 FEET ALONG THE QUARTER SECTION LINE FROM THE CENTER ONE QUARTER CORNER OF SECTION 6, TOWNSHIP 17 SOUTH, RANGE 4 WEST, SLB&M, SAID POINT BEING THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF BLOCK 4, OAK CITY PLAT B; THENCE CONTINUING SOUTH 89°13’14” EAST ALONG SAID SECTION LINE 1304.01 FEET TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF JAY BURTON LOVELL AND PATRICIA ANNE LOVELL (TRUSTEES) PROPERTY AS RECORDED AT MILLARD COUNTY RECORDER’S OFFICE AS PARCEL # 3734-1; THENCE SOUTH 00°23’39” WEST 2769.04 FEET ALONG THE EAST BOUNDARY OF SAID PARCEL TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINE OF SAID SECTION 6; THENCE NORTH 88°54’38” WEST 904.65 FEET ALONG SAID SOUTH BOUNDARY; THENCE SOUTH 00°20’36” WEST 409.50 FEET; THENCE NORTH 88°54’38” WEST 426.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 00°20’36” EAST 409.50 FEET TO SAID SOUTH BOUNDARY LINE OF SECTION 6; THENCE NORTH 88°54’38” WEST 246.88 FEET ALONG SAID BOUNDARY TO THE SOUTH QUARTER CORNER OF SAID SECTION 6; THENCE NORTH 00°05’41” WEST 1352.27 FEET ALONG THE QUARTER SECTION LINE TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY OF UTAH STATE ROAD 125 AND A 2000 FOOT RADIUS CURVE TO THE LEFT; THENCE NORTHEASTERLY ALONG THE ARC OF SAID CURVE THRU A CENTRAL ANGLE OF 10°11’15” DISTANCE OF 355.61 FEET (CHORD BEARS NORTH 55°41’24” EAST 355.14 FEET); THENCE NORTH 00°03’42” EAST 1204.27 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Oak City Town Clerk at 30 W. Center St., Oak City UT 84649.
Oak City Town may grant the petition and annex the above described area, unless a written protest to the annexation petition is filed with the Millard County Clerk and a copy of the protest is delivered to the Oak City Town Clerk. Any protest must be filed and delivered by November 2, 2020. The address of the Millard County Clerk is 765 South Highway 99, Fillmore, UT 84631.
The area proposed for annexation will also be included in any local district providing fire protection, paramedic, and emergency services or law enforcement services to Oak City Town. However, there will be no changes in local districts for the annexed area as they will be in the same local districts both before and if granted, after the annexation.
Stewart Rowley Annexation
Notice of Filing of Annexation Petition with Oak City Town
A petition has been filed with Oak City Town by Stewart Rowley proposing the annexation of a new area to Oak City Town. The Town Council received official notice of the certification of the annexation petition on October 12, 2020. The Southwest corner of the area being requested for annexation is roughly just East of Main Street and just North of 300 North.
The area proposed for annexation is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point West 821.23 feet and North 264.0 feet from the Southeast corner of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 31, Township 16 South, Range 4 West, SLB&M; thence North 24̊54’19” West 356.28 feet along an existing fence; thence South 14̊31’58” West 55.74 feet along an existing fence; thence North 49̊07’40” West 284.24 feet along an existing fence; thence South 84̊44’58” West 187.72 feet along an existing fence to the east side of Utah Highway 125 right-of-way thence South 00̊42’54” West 438.07 feet along the Highway right-of-way to the existing Oak City Town boundary; thence North 89̊59’52’ East 571.36 feet along the Town boundary to the point of beginning.
